Church in the open or
Church 24-7
The churchyard is a great space for quiet reflection, to visit a grave, sit for a while in the Garden of Remembrance, or maybe simply to take a short cut.
Why not take the opportunity to reflect that God is always with us
Matthew 8: 20 Behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age
1 Chronicles 16: 11 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually
Deuteronomy 31: 8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed
REMEMBRANCE
November is a time when we remember.
1st November is ALL SAINTS DAY when we think not just of the saints of long ago but of those we know or have known. We are all God's saints.
ALL SOULS DAY on 2nd November is a time for many to remember family and friends who are no longer with us. Some people like to visit the graves or Garden of Remembrance.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY which falls on 9th November this year, is our opportunity to gather in church at 10.30am for a Service of Remembrance, which includes an act of remembrance, the reading of names from the two World Wars, and the laying of a poppy wreath. Everyone is welcome to be part of this.
Or maybe you would like to gather in the churchyard, which includes several War Graves, at 11am on REMEMBRANCE DAY and observ two minutes silence.
We hope that at any time throughout these days you would appreciate the opportunity to walk through this quiet space, to read the words posted around, to reflect, to pray
