Christ Church has been considering three projects that the income from the sale of the church field will be spent on.
- A complete refurbishment of the existing church to make it suitable for use as a community centre and a place of worship.
- A complete refurbishment of the existing church hall for use as a community centre with the addition of a new worship space.
- A new modern purpose-built church and community centre located in the remaining unsold area of the church field.
Christ Church have maintained for the last several years that there can only be one building out of the three options above that will be maintained on an ongoing and future basis.
However this is a conservation area so there will be limitations on the remaining building(s).
